About Get Fishing

GetFishing.com.au is the home of Australian Fishing Tournaments (State and National) where Aussie anglers fish monthly competitions for a share in over $180,000 worth of cash and prizes annually!
Membership allows you to compete in your State comp as well as our National Fishing Tournament. Provided your membership is valid you can compete 365 days a year from anywhere in the country. Each month there are 20 species to target in our National tournament with prizes ranging from $300-$429 for the longest of each species. The State competitions offer a more localised target list with prizes ranging from $100-$300 for the longest of each species.
There is also a new national Kids Tournament with 10 species to target and prizes starting at $50. Kids 15yrs and under are invited to compete.

1) Become a Tournament member and retrieve your monthly code

2) Catch a fish and photograph with your code

3) Submit your photos online

4) WIN!

We strongly recommend catch and release fishing to those fishing in our Tournaments, however this is not compulsory. We understand people need to eat fresh fish, so if you are going to catch a feed we ask that you only take a few and let the rest go. On that note we strongly encourage you to release slow-growing species such as Black Bream, Black Drummer, etc as well as fish in prime breeding stages of the cycle.

 

We share our philosophy of thinking forward – living for today, fishing for tomorrow. We practice and encourage a positive attitude towards the fish we catch, the ecosystems we fish, and the people we meet along the way.
